Mrs Mackay at present residing with her parents at 51 Galson, has also
been informed of the tragic fate of her husband, John Mackay, who was
lost on one of HM ships. Mr Mackay, best known as Ian Rag, was a native
of Flesherin, and, though he was only in our midst for a very short
time, he had that captivating quality which made friends easily and we
were all very much attached to him. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to
his young widow and infant son, to his mother, sisters and brothers.
